Delete your CalorieMiles account
CalorieMiles is a calorie and activity tracker made by CodeHaste Inc. You can delete your account, and everything in it, at any time: in the app, or by email if you no longer have the app.
In the app
- Open CalorieMiles and sign in.
- Go to Profile.
- If you want a copy first, tap Download my data.
- Tap Delete account, enter your password, and confirm.
The account is deleted the moment you confirm, and it cannot be undone. Forgotten your password? Tap Forgot password? on the sign-in screen to set a new one by email, then delete.
By email
If you no longer have the app, write to info@codehaste.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject "Delete my account". We may ask you to confirm from that address first, so nobody can delete an account that is not theirs. We delete the account within 30 days of your request and write to tell you when it is done.
Uninstalling the app does not delete your account.
What is deleted
Everything: your profile (email address, password hash, date of birth, sex, height, activity level, goal and targets), meals, custom foods, weights, water, steps, workouts, goals, badges, recognition, sessions and codes. It is all removed in one operation, immediately and irreversibly.
What is kept, and for how long
- Backups, for up to 14 days. The database is backed up every night and each backup is kept for 14 days, so a deleted account can survive in a backup for up to 14 days before that backup is deleted. Backups stay on the same server and are used only to restore the service after a failure.
- What other services hold. Brevo's records of the emails it delivered to you, Sentry's crash reports if any were sent, and Google's copies of any meal photos you scanned follow those services' own retention. CalorieMiles never kept the photos, and Google never had your name or email address with them. The privacy policy says what each one receives.
- What is on your phone. CalorieMiles only ever read from Health Connect or Apple Health, so nothing there is changed. Remove its permission in your phone's settings.
Delete some data, not the account
Meals, weights, water, workouts and every target can be edited or removed in the app without deleting the account. For anything you cannot remove yourself, write to info@codehaste.com.
